The Winnebago County Coroner has revealed the identity of a woman who was found dead in a home on Guilford Road.

According to the press release from the Rockford Police Department, officers responded for a welfare check this past Saturday (4/8) in the 3100 block of Guilford Avenue and discovered the front door open when they arrived.

During their search of the residence, Rockford Police located the woman in the living room who was pronounced dead on the scene.

Following an autopsy, Winnebago County Chief Deputy Coroner Matt Lane announced in a press release the deceased woman has been positively identified as 26-year-old, Antwinette Paschal of Rockford.

Rockford Police are investigating the death of Ms. Paschal as a homicide, according to the press release.

The findings of the autopsy are pending until further investigations are completed.
