
Popular Illinois Grocery Store Giving Away Free Groceries for a Year to 25 Fans

For decades, shoppers at this discount grocery store would carry quarters to unlock shopping carts. Now that ritual is the centerpiece of a marketing campaign that could pay off big for some customers.

Based in Batavia, Aldi recently announced their Aldi Quarter Club, which will reward 25 superfans with a year's worth of free groceries and other exclusive gifts:
- Year's worth of free groceries paid in $1,700 worth of Aldi gift cards
- An exclusive, members-only trip to Aldi's hometown for a behind-the-scenes experience
- A varsity-style quarter Aldi Quarter Club jacket, and other merch
- Chance to be featured on Aldi social media channels
How to Enter for a Year's Worth of Free Groceries
According to AldiQuarterClub.com, you have until 10:59 pm Central Time on August 29, 2025, to register for one of the 25 grand prizes from Aldi.
On the registration page, Aldi requests that fans upload two photos displaying their fandom for the grocery chain, and you have to answer the question What is the boldest move you've made in the name of ALDI that sets you apart as a Super Fan?

You must be 18 to enter, and the contest is open to any legal U.S. resident of the 50 states, according to Aldi.

Aldi Plans Big Growth in Next 3 Years
The footprint of Aldi in its home state has always been strong, with over 250 stores currently in Illinois.
According to an NBC5 report, Aldi is planning to open 800 additional stores nationwide by 2028.
