Well this is exciting news!

Toyota-Mazda has their eyes on two northern Illinois cities, that are close to Rockford, for their new auto making plant.

WREX reports that both the cities of Rochelle and DeKalb are in high consideration for Toyota-Mazda to build a new plant auto making plant in Illinois due to their close proximity to Interstate I-88.

Illinois is one of 11 other states that the car maker is considering for their next new plant but Rochelle looks to be a strong candidate as they are ready and have 1,000 acres of land available to build the plant, let alone has full access to both railways and interstate traffic.

If this deal works out over 4,000 will be coming to either DeKalb or Rochelle. The plant will be expected to be fully operational by 2020 or 2021. Wow!

Fingers crossed this works out. Our state so needs this!
