Serious Discussion About Fairdale Tornado At Farm Show
When this year's Northern Illinois Farm Show hits DeKalb later this week, their will be many discussions about the tornadoes and the effect on everything in Fairdale.
Talking about tornadoes. It's something you think would not be considered or even discussed in a round session, but at this year's Northern Illinois Farm Show, that will be the case.
The show starts Wednesday at Northern Illinois University's Convocation Center. About 8,000 people attended last year.
According to WREX TV-13, "one of the sessions will focus on the deadly tornado that struck Fairdale. The April 9 tornado killed two women and caused $7.9 million in damages to dozens of properties in the unincorporated community of about 150 people. It affected Boone, DeKalb, Lee and Ogle counties.".
In addition to the latest technology for equipment, seed, and move, this year's show will also feature discussions on issues like grain marketing, pesticide application and weed management.
Have fun and don't forget to grab all the freebies and free candy at each booth.
