Cake is always a good thing, right? Maybe not if you are allergic to nuts and have recently bought a cake from one of the Stateline area's Schuncks bakeries.

According to a statement from the FDA, Schnucks has issued an allergy alert for their Cinnamon Pudding Half Cakes and Cake Slices because they may contain walnuts that are not listed on the ingredients label. Schnucks was alerted to this situation by a customer who found walnuts in their cake, but so far no illnesses from eating these nuts have been reported.

The affected cakes were sold at all Schnucks locations in Illinois and Wisconsin. Here's how to determine if your cake is part of the Shnucks recall according to the FDA website:

If you have bought one one of these products and are now unable to eat it, you are instructed to return to the store for a full refund. For more information on the recall call the Schnucks Consumer Affairs department at 314-994-4400.
