Illinois Amazon Driver Goes Viral for Simple Act of Kindness
I'll admit it...when I see an Amazon delivery driver in my neighborhood, I often think things like this:
- "Wow, they are really hustling."
- "Do they hate coming to my house all the time?"

Amazon drivers are on an important mission every single day, and I'm often surprised how they can juggle what must feel like a million packages a day and still keep a smile on their face. That's why this story about one special Illinois Amazon delivery driver completely melted my heart.

Illinois Amazon Driver Stops to Help Homeowner in Need
On July 12, 2026, Keith Wall of Mahomet, Illinois was struggling to take out his trash when an Amazon driver named Ed drove by while making his deliveries. While most people on a strict schedule probably would have kept driving, Ed did the complete opposite: he pulled over and asked if he could help.
Homeowner Keith Wall told WCIA in Champaign:
That’s the first day I met him. Don’t know him from Adam,” Wall said. “[He] jumped out of the car, came running up and said, ‘Can I help you?
Here comes the most heartwarming part of the story.
Keith Wall lost his leg in a motorcycle accident nearly 20 years ago. As it turns out, Ed the Amazon driver, is also an amputee who often goes out of his way to help people dealing with similar challenges.
Ed's kindness turned an ordinary day into one Keith Wall will never forget, and wants to make sure Amazon gives Ed the recognition he deserves. So, I believe it is now our responsibility to share Keith and Ed's story far and wide in Illinois.
In a world dominated with bad news, arguments, scams, and people treating each other terribly, we all need a reminder that there are genuinely good people still among us...or, in this case, making Amazon deliveries.
