The Racine County Sheriff's Office posted the video on its Facebook page as part of an update on the incident, which happened Monday afternoon.
Deputies Arrive to Heavy Smoke and Reports of People Trapped
According to details from the sheriff's office and reported by CBS Chicago, deputies and firefighters arrived just before 3 p.m. to find heavy smoke coming from the home and were told two people were still inside. A deputy tried to go in through a garage door after hearing a child crying, but was pushed back by smoke. He then circled to the front of the home, where the dense conditions also forced another officer to back away.
