Luke Bryan may not be handling hosting duties at the 2019 ACM Awards (he last did that in 2017, with Dierks Bentley), but he certainly had a busy evening at the April 7 ceremony regardless.

In addition to being nominated for Entertainer of the Year and in the Single of the Year category, Bryan also was a featured performer, treating the crowd at Las Vegas's MGM Grand Arena to a rousing version of his latest single, "Knockin' Boots."

"Come on, baby!" shouted Bryan, as he launched into the fun, summer-perfect anthem amongst a backdrop of dozens of boots (what else?). Although the song is lyrically set in the south, with references to fishing and sweet tea, Bryan had to customize the song slightly by adding a few references to Sin City, where doubtless countless party-happy tourists are happy to endorse such behavior!

"Knockin' Boots" is the follow-up to Bryan's No. 1 single "What Makes You Country,"  which was released in October of 2018 from his 2017 album of the same title. The ACMs are a welcome platform for the American Idol judge to show off his purely country vibes while the wildly popular reality series is thick in its 17th season.

The 2019 ACM Awards are taking place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, hosted by Reba McEntire.
