Local Businesses Step Up To Feed 400 Frontline Heroes In Freeport

Move over "doom-and-gloom" news, nobody likes you. Freeport businesses just stepped up for those on the frontlines of the battle against COVID-10 in a big way. This story comes straight out of the walls of Townsquare Media in Rockford. Well, kind of. 90% of our staff are working from home, including the woman behind this story.

A member of our kick-butt marketing team wanted to do something special to the heroes working head-on with medical needs inside Freeport's hospital as well as first responders. Our own team member, Amy, made some calls to a variety of businesses with the idea of providing lunch for some of the heroes risking their health so others survive. Her efforts paid off tremendously in that 9 businesses help feed 400 people. That's amazing.
