Illinois Restaurant Has Grinch Delivery For Christmas

A Gurnee restaurant is making the best of our current situation. 

Primo Italian restaurant in Gurnee, Il is doing festive deliveries and pickups this year. An employee in a full Grinch costume will hand you your carryout pizza or even deliver it to your door if requested.

The video above makes it look like the kids absolutely love it, which confuses me a little. Hand up, I have not seen any iteration of How The Grinch Stole Christmas. Not the original. Not any of the more recent live versions. I'm sure it was read to me at some point in my childhood, but it didn't really stick. Isn't the Grinch the bad guy in the story? I thought he was basically the Freddy Krueger of Christmas (to be fair, I haven't seen any of the Friday the 13th movies either, too scary)? It seems like it would be a traumatic experience for the kids.

Anyway, here are the top 5 characters from a Christmas movie that I would want delivering my pizza:

5. Fuller from Home Alone:

This would just be for the laughs. That dude just makes me laugh. Fun fact. That's Macaulay Culkin's real little brother Kieran, who went on to play another one of my favorite characters ever, Roman Roy in Succession.

4. Uncle Billy from It's A Wonderful Life:

I just watched this movie the other day. Turns out everyone was right, it is pretty good. Uncle Billy was my favorite character. Felt bad for him and want to give him a big tip to make him feel better.

3. Argyle from Die Hard

Dude is cool. Already has a car. And has impeccable taste in music. The movie opens with him blasting a Christmas classic.

An all-around underrated character no matter the genre.

2. Uncle Eddie from Christmas Vacation:

Couple of things to like about Cousin Eddie. Like Argyle in Die Hard, Uncle Eddie already comes with a vehicle, a sweet RV. Definitely want that to deliver me a pizza. Plus there's probably a 50/50 chance he has some alcohol that he wouldn't mind sharing with you. Uncle Eddie's the kind of guy you want to meet for 5 minutes and then be able to walk away.

1. Bill Murray in A Very Murray Christmas:

This is a great pick because unlike the other picks where I want the character picking me up, not necessarily the actor, with this pick I get the real deal. If you haven't seen A Very Murray Christmas, I don't recommend it. Not because I don't like it, it's my favorite Christmas special. I just haven't really met anyone else that likes it. Watch it, but if (probably when) you don't like it, don't blame me.
