
These 29 Illinois Manufacturers Will Share in $1.35 Million Grant
The 2025 recipients of the Made in Illinois Grant Program have been announced, with 29 manufacturers across the state sharing a substantial amount of money.
State Invests in Small and Mid-Sized Manufacturers
Alongside the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO), and the Illinois Manufacturing Excellence Center (IMEC), Governor JB Prtizer announced who will be receiving a grant.

According to the press release, 29 small and mid-sized manufacturers across the state will share $1.35 million in capital grant funding, with the expectation that it will enhance innovation and job creation.
Driving Innovation Through Strategic Investments
Each recipient in this settlement is eligible for up to $50,000 in matching funds to support projects that advance manufacturing capabilities.
In total, these businesses are undertaking projects totaling over $38.3 million in statewide investment.

Since its launch in 2024, the program has awarded more than $3 million to 69 manufacturers.
Leaders Emphasize Economic Impact
In the press release, Governor Pritzker recognized Illinois as a "globally recognized manufacturing hub."
The Made in Illinois Program is designed to support the small and mid-size manufacturers that make up a crucial part of our economy. This grant program helps companies access resources to become more competitive, enhance economic development, attract capital, and bring jobs to communities across the state. The president of IMEC said the grants "enable businesses to create jobs and build a more resilient manufacturing economy."
Success Story: Aztec Plastic Company
Chicago-based Aztec Plastic Company has been quite the success story, saying the grant allows them to "upgrade our technology and expand production capacity," according to their COO Andrew Wielgus.
Aztec serves high-demand industries including aerospace and agriculture.
