Did you know one of Rockford's favorite orchards to visit in the fall is actually open for seasonal treats during the summer too?

I'm always surprised by the amount of Rockford area residents who still don't know that Curran's Orchard on Kilburn Avenue is open on Fridays and Saturdays during the summer, but the bad news is, there are only two weekends left to enjoy delicious treats like this:

If you've been meaning to make a stop at Curran's Orchard, now is the time. There are only two weekends left before Curran's wraps up its summer season on July 25. Trust me when I say you'll want to pack your pantry and freezer with this array of delciousness to tide you over until fall:

Fall Opening Dates For Rockford-Area Orchards

Curran's Orchard hasn't announced the date when they'll officially kick off their 2026 fall season yet, but a few other orchards in the area already have:

Edwards Apple Orchard in Poplar Grove and Edwards Apple Orchard West in Winnebago - Friday, August 28.
Jonamac Orchard in Malta - Wednesday, August 26.

Before you know it, we'll all be standing in line for apple cider donuts at all our favorite orchards... and honestly, I'm not mad about that one bit.
