This morning on my drive into work I was really wishing I could have parked my car and took a walk along the path that runs through the Kishwaukee Forest Perserve.

Fall and the changing leaves are so pretty perfect to take those leisure walks. Plus, there's another great benefit to them. It's a free therapy to de-stress yourself.study led by the University of Michigan can back that up too. Their research found that those who were dealing with stress from a job loss, break-up or family death mental health and well being greatly improved when taking walks in the fresh air.

Feeling a little stressed lately get out there and grab some sunshine and fresh air. Or as my Dad always says "Get out there and get the stink blown off ya!"

The best part is this therapy doesn't cost a thing and the Rockford Park District has plenty of mapped out paths for your to enjoy these fall days and let go of all that bothers you.

For your convenience here is the link to find a walking, biking or hiking path near you.
