So many people are still struggling thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic. We're struggling mentally, physically, financially, and too many are struggling making day-to-day ends meet.

The Stateline area is blessed to have many organizations, like our local food pantries, the Salvation Army of Winnebago County and the Rockford Rescue Mission at our disposal in times of need, but in times like these, they just don't have the means to help all that need it.

Thankfully places like the Belvidere Family YMCA are stepping up to help families who need basic personal supplies to get through each day.

In a effort to better serve their community, the Belvidere Family YMCA has teamed up with other organizations in the 815 to host a supply drive, but they need our help to get their mission accomplished.

From now until January 8th, the Belvidere Family YMCA is asking for people to donate simple items like toilet paper, diapers, antibacterial wipes, paper towels, cleaning gloves, and disposable masks that they will then distribute to local families that have been hit hard by COVID-19. You can drop off your donations at the Belvidere Family YMCA at 220 West Locust Street anytime Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. or Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Your generosity will not only help Stateline families experiencing great struggles due to loss of income, but also those that are forced to quarantine following a positive COVID-19 diagnosis and cannot leave their home. Thank you in advance for any donations you may make to help our neighbors in need.
