The Winnebago County Health Department launched an online tool we can all use for COVID-19 vaccine registration.

Dr. Sandra Martell, the Public Administrator with the Winnebago County Health Department, announced the online program being launched to plan how the the covid vaccine will be administered.

Dr. Martell says it is not a first-come-first-serve basis for those who register with this new online tool, but it will help determine those who will get vaccinated based off someone's risk/occupation, according to wrex.com.

Once you sign up through the registration tool, your information will go to the state's database. The purpose is to make sure people aren't being vaccinated more than once.

While it's widely believed the vaccine will be available to the general public sometime in April, no one really knows for sure.
