Traffic Headache at One of Rockford’s Biggest Intersections Should Only Last A Day

Rockford may seem like a small city (or a big "small town") but has some bigger and highly traveled intersections. One of them will be slow-go but will only last a day.

Officials have not released many details about a late-night crash on Tuesday night in Rockford other than the driver of a vehicle involved died in the hospital due to injuries from the accident, according to WREX.

Police initially said the victim, a 43-year-old man, suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash. However, police say the man later died from injuries sustained in the crash.

Rockford Police have not yet released specific details of the accident as of this article but the City of Rockford says the intersection will be operated by STOP signs only until the traffic lights' signal cabinet is repaired.
