Rockford’s Million Penny Challenge for St. Jude
By now you probably know we live and breathe St. Jude Children's Research Hospital here at Q98.5.
Supporting and raising money for the hospital's mission to find a cure for cancer, and to take care of the amazing kids being treated there, fuels almost everything we do here.
Ready for our latest crazy idea?
We want to raise a million pennies for St. Jude by February 2019. Seriously.
Just think about it, no one really uses pennies for anything spectacular. They just take up space or get used on a scratch-off ticket.
Giving up a pile of pennies probably won't make a big difference in your life, but it could make a HUGE difference in the life of a family and their child at St. Jude.
One million pennies = $10,000 in cancer treatment to save lives and cure cancer. Pretty cool thing to do with all your useless change, right?
Please consider dropping off your spare change today at the Q98.5 studio at 3901 Brendenwood Rd. in Rockford. You don't even need to count it, we'll do it for you, and then add the amount to the grand total of our St. Jude Kids Radiothon coming up this February.
There is one more thing you can do to help us spread the Million Pennies for St. Jude challenge across the Stateline; you could place a collection container at your work, organization, school, club, anywhere! Just let us know you want one, and we'll make it happen!
