Rockford’s ‘Best Restaurant’ According to DineRank

Up until today, I was unaware of DineRank but now, I gotta say it's a really interesting concept.

Unlike Yelp or TripAdvisor, where reviews usually define the "rank" of a restaurant or business, DineRank does it just a bit differently.

On DineRank, it looks like "votes" are used to "rank" the top restaurants in each city. A similar website, Ranker, does the same but seemingly only handles their lists on a national basis.

The top restaurants on the list include Prarie Street Brewing Company (5), Abreo Restaurant (4), Social Urban Bar & Restaurant (3), and Eggsclusive Cafe (2).

The #1 ranked restaurant on DineRank is Five Forks Market.

This restaurant serves sauteed scallops, hummus tray, Margherita, stuffed shells, risotto of the day, seared crusted tuna, and shrimp toast. They also serve beet pave, crab portabella, chipotle turkey & blueberry, chicken mole, pork ragu and pappardelle, crabcakes, and Mediterranean chicken.

What else can you say about Five Forks Market?

It's almost like Five Forks is aware of their place on DineRank with "We are Rockford's favorite restaurant" emblazoned on their website.

For what it's worth, Five Forks Market almost scores five stars on Yelp and Trip Advisor (4.5 on each) too.

It was also listed as the 9th best restaurant out of 239 in Rockford according to TripAdvisor. Most reviews mention the salmon and tuna as standouts on the menu.

The most negative comments were in regard to the location of Five Forks Market. Tucked away and off the beaten path, if you're a foodie driving to town for some good eats, it can be tough to find.
