Veterans will have the opportunity to interview with multiple employers and receive job-search assistance during a hiring event today (Wednesday 7/29).

Vets Can Meet Employers Face-to-Face

Military veterans seeking their next career opportunity will have the chance to connect directly with employers at the Hire A Vet Walk-In Wednesday hiring event in Rockford.

This free event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Hall, 211 North Main Street, with employers set up beginning at 8:45 a.m.

Organizers say the event is designed to make the job search process easier by bringing multiple employers together under one roof while offering veterans immediate access to hiring representatives.

Resources Available for Job Seekers

Attendees can take advantage of application assistance, participate in on-site interviews, and may even leave with potential job offers the same day. Employer information pamphlets will also be available, and hiring tables will be located on the second and third floors of Veterans Memorial Hall.

Job seekers are encouraged to arrive prepared with multiple copies of their resume, two forms of identification, and professional attire to make the strongest possible first impression.

Supporting Veteran Employment

The Hire A Vet Walk-In Wednesday event is part of ongoing efforts to connect Illinois veterans with meaningful employment opportunities while also helping employers recruit skilled workers with military experience.

Organizers are encouraging all veterans seeking full-time or part-time work, or a career change, to take advantage of this event and meet directly with recruiters ready to hire.
