Serial Killer Obsession

I’ll admit it… I’m a true crime junkie.

I would never glorify a serial killer or celebrate what they did, but learning about the psychology behind these twisted cases? The tiny details and forensic science that finally crack a case wide open? I am completely fascinated by all of it.

If you’re a true crime junkie too, a new attraction coming to Chicago soon will be very hard for you to ignore.

Serial Killer: The Exhibition

The other day as I was scrolling through Facebook, this reel from Secret Chicago caught my eye immediately:

What the heck is Serial Killer: The Exhibition, and how do I get in?!

This new exhibition offers true-crime fans a deep dive into the history, psychology, and forensic science behind some of the world’s most infamous criminal cases.

We're talking real artifacts, documents, and evidence from the terror of America's most notorious serial killers like Dahmer, Gein, Gacy, and so many more.

The Chicago stop of Serial Killer: The Exhibition will also have a special focus on two of the city's darkest cases:  H.H. Holmes and John Wayne Gacy.

When Does Serial Killer: The Exhibition Open in Chicago?

Serial Killer: The Exhibition will open to the public on September 5, 2026, at Cinespace Chicago Film Studios in Chicago, and there is already a waitlist for tickets, so you better get on it ASAP!

Here's one important thing to remember before you go:

The goal of this exhibition isn’t just to walk through the crimes. It focuses on how investigators solved the cases, how forensic science evolved, and what researchers have learned about criminal behavior. It's about understanding the crimes, the investigations, and the victims… not the monsters who committed them.

Sometimes the darkest stories teach us the most about human behavior, justice, and how far science has come in the fight to stop history from repeating itself.
