If you're into festivals trying new foods and of course just celebrating, then you need to check out this celebration happening in Rockford this weekend.

The city has pulled together all of it's different ethnic backgrounds to hold it's 4th annual festival.

WREX reports that Rockford has over 50 different ethnic communities in the city. Wow! I had no idea there were that many. Did you?

This weekend in downtown Rockford all are welcome to celebrate in the 4th Annual Midtown Ethnic Festival.

There will be ethnic foods and dance to represent each culture. Along with a parade and even a way to trace your roots with geneology.

That is something I've always wanted to do, learn more about my family heritage.

By the way the parade and festival are from Noon to 6pm this Sunday on the RPS 205 grounds.
