Registration For Christmas Help From Salvation Army Begins Soon
It's that time of the year when the Salvation Army prepares for assisting families in need this holiday season.
Residents in Winnebago County can begin registering for Christmas food and toys assistance beginning Monday, November 18. The hours are being expanded this year but you must register in person and bring the appropriate documents.
Registration Dates/Time: November 18 through November 22, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (with extended evening hours on November 21 - 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.).
Location: 5430 East State St., Rockford.
Document(s) Needed:
- Photo ID for head of household.
- Proof of address for every member of the household, including children, current Link eligibility with household names, recent mail, OR school records MUST BE DATED WITHIN THE LAST 30 DAYS
- Proof of birth date for every child in household aged 15 & younger (Birth certificate OR school records)
