Pecatonica Woman Writes Children’s Book Encouraging Imagination

The former teacher came up with the idea through years of teaching. Mary Baumgartner wrote the book, while her daughter Grayce was the illustrator.

The book, What If It Wasn't a Dream?, is described on Amazon as follows,

What if it wasn't a dream is about childhood wishes and dreams. What if cookies could grow in your garden or bullies weren't mean but kind? What kind of a world do you think we would find if our dreams really did come true? What would be better our dreams or reality?

The book was also described as, "give children a perspective on what the world would be like if kids' dreams and wishes came true", by WIFR.
