One Dead In Tuesday Morning Rockford Shooting

One person has died and the suspect is still at large.

WIFR - Rockford Police Chief Dan O'Shea says they responded to ShotSpotter alerts in the 100 block of Adams Street in Rockford.

A 20-year-old man was found shot and taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

State Street around Swedish American has been shut down until further notice.

The investigation is early and pending.
