On a much smaller scale, I guess I should have figured this would be a thing.

That's because I have spent the better part of a month trying to buy a PlayStation 5.

Those consoles are getting snatched up so quickly only to be turned around and sold on auction sites for big bucks so of course people would pay more just to get the COVID vaccine first.

A new survey from MyBioSource.com, says Illinois residents would pay $743 just to jump ahead in line to get vaccinated. That's more than nearly every state in the country, and most of any other state in the midwest. Only Oklahoma residents ($936) would pay more just to cut in line.

We're a little over a week away from the COVID vaccine landing in Rockford. The plan is for frontline workers and high-risk individuals to get the vaccination first then everybody else.

I'm in the "everybody else" pile, and while I'm definitely and totally up for getting the shot I'm willing to wait my turn. I sure hope I don't see people reselling the vaccine on eBay. We don't need another PlayStation situation going on.
