Facebook Marketplace has been a great platform for people to sell their used and new items at any price they want. Whether it's an old bike or a brand-new car, the power is in the seller's hands to choose their price. You never know what you'll find for sale on good ole FB but this one is a head-scratcher.

Are you getting Facebook's next civil lawsuit payout?

After news broke that some Facebook users in Illinois would be getting one more payment, I jumped on Marketplace to see what odd items I could buy with the next massive direct deposit. (Just kidding, it's not that much.)

Here are a few items, for sale in Illinois, that stood out:

These wood slices are 10” in diameter and about 2” thick. I'm not sure what to do with these other than using them to display taxidermy. I'm sure someone much more creative than I could use these from something truly appreciated.

If it exists someone will probably buy it, like these empty Pepsi cans. If you're into nostalgia this could be something to add to your collection, specifically these Jackson World Tour cans.

Rare Sprite For Sale In Illinois?

A man in Winfield, Illinois, is selling a Sprite product on Facebook Marketplace as if it were touched by Jesus. He is selling what he must believe to be a rare 2-liter of Sprite. In an effort to not throw him under the bus too much it is seasonal flavor but, still, asking for ten times the original price may be a little outlandish.

So, what is this rare and unique item that everyone is talking about? It's none other than a 2-liter bottle of Sprite Winter Spiced Cranberry Zero-Sugar, priced at $9.99 on Walmart.com.

This is currently listed at $100 and described simply as a "rare sprite." Now, I'm not an expert on pricing items for resale but I did a quick search and found plenty of options for substantially less than one Benjamin. This one on eBay is only $25.

In the end, the listing may not be a joke and, while it may be hilarious, it just goes to show that you never know what you'll find on Facebook Marketplace.
