As of 9:30 am on Monday (4/6), the river measured 13.1 feet, above the 12-foot flood stage threshold. The river crested at 14.1 feet within the past 24 hours, signaling a period of elevated risk for nearby communities.

Local Impacts and Areas at Risk

Emergency management officials warn that at 13.0 feet, low-lying roadways near Blackhawk Valley Campground, just south of Rockford, are particularly vulnerable.

While flooding is categorized as minor, the impacts can still disrupt travel and pose safety risks for residents in flood-prone zones.
