Illinois 12-Year-Old and 3 Teens Charged with Armed Robbery in Rockford
There were 4 juveniles arrested over the weekend after an armed robbery and a brief chase by Rockford Police.
Woman Robbed at a Rockford Gas Station
Early on Tuesday morning at around 6:30 am, a woman was robbed at gunpoint by 4 male suspects at the Fas Fuel located at 3302 11th Street, according to a press release from the Rockford Police Department.
The suspects then fled the area and were later seen running near the corner of 11th Street and Sandy Hollow Road. Rockford Police officers then pursued the suspects and following a brief foot pursuit, all four individuals were taken into custody.

During an investigation, a loaded handgun was recovered along with some of the belongings from the female victim.
Rockford Police also thanked the "citizens that assisted our officers in taking the individuals into custody."
One Suspect in Rockford Armed Robbery is 12-Years-Old
The following charges have been filed against four juvenile males by the Winnebago County State's Attorney's Office:

Juvenile Male, 14, Rockford: Armed Robbery, Attempted Vehicular Hijacking, Resisting Arrest, Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Obstructing Identification, Possession of Stolen Property, Felony Criminal Damage to State Supported Property
Juvenile Male, 12, Rockford: Armed Robbery, Attempted Vehicular Hijacking, Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Resisting Arrest
In the press release, Rockford Police said the charges against the four juveniles "are merely accusations and all individuals are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law."
