This weekend me and my boyfriend were talking about Thanksgiving and he said he was excited to treat our dog to a yummy turkey bone. I immediately was like, "NO!!!!". And it made me realize a lot of people might be putting their dogs at risk this holiday season.

So, according to the American Kennel Club, here's what your furry family member can and can't eat this Thanksgiving -

DO NOT Feed:
Turkey Skin
Turkey Bones
Turkey Stuffing
Turkey Gravy
Candy and Gum (may contain xylitol)
Mashed Potatoes
Creamed Peas
Sweet Potatoes and Yams with added ingredients
Pumpkin Pie – May contain Xylitol
Chocolate Desserts
Alcoholic Beverages
Salads with Raisins or Grapes
Onions
Scallions

DO Feed your Dog:
Turkey Meat (no bone or skin)
Plain Potatoes and Sweet Potatoes
Plain cooked Pumpkin
Plain Peas
Apple

Just in case your dog gets a little too excited and gets into food they shouldn't, the pet poison hotline is - 855-764-7661.
