I'm sure WYFF-4 Chief Meteorologist Chris Justus isn't all that interested in ruining anyone's Thanksgiving, or Black Friday in Rockford, or even the days after, but man, he's sure putting a damper on the festivities.

A Sudden Thanksgiving Forecast Shift

For what I initially thought was going to be a dry and mild Thanksgiving and weekend, this guy has decided to throw a wrench into the plans. Here I am casually scrolling Facebook when out of nowhere I read this:

BIG PATTERN FLIP AHEAD

Justus isn't even talking about Rockford, Chicago, or even Illinois; he's talking about his home state, South Carolina. The thing is, though, he believes a "major crash is coming" and with cold air diving in late Thanksgiving night. Again, keep in mind, he's talking about South Carolina, but I notice a freezing cold blue emoji guy and he's located just east of Rockford and above Chicago.

That means not only is Justus effected but so are we and and a whole bunch of other states which means it's gonna get down right chilly in the Forest City but wait, there's more.

Snow Models Suggest Trouble Near Lake Michigan

Justus doesn't stop there, he then says we're probably gonna get snowed on too. Some GFS and EURO snow models, which I can't even pretend to understand, are predicting snowfall near or around where he is. Isn't that great? You know what's not? The fact that the big old snowflake on the map is over Lake Michigan, and we're covered in light to dark blue, which means Justus thinks we're going to get at least 3 inches of snow through Thanksgiving weekend.

I don't know this Chris Justus guy, but he's off my Christmas list.
