Enjoy the Nature Fiesta Saturday

Looking for something fun for the family, while being educational for the kids at the same time? Take the family to the Nature Fiesta this Saturday.

For the past few weeks I've on my way to and from work I've passed a sign set up outside of Blackhawks Springs advertising a Nature Fiesta. I did a little investigating and this is what I found out.

The Winnebago County Forest Preserve is holding a Nature Fiesta this Saturday, May 30th, at the Blackhawk Springs Forest Preserve on Mulford Road.

This event is free and open for all ages. It's an afternoon full of learning about nature. There will be exhibits, displays, live animals, crafts, guided hikes and games all centered on nature and to create interest in the community's rivers, birds, butterflies and wildflowers.

There will also be live music and food for purchase.
