A Must-See Among John Hughes’ Films
If you haven't seen Pretty in Pink, know this: it belongs in the conversation with other classic John Hughes-penned flicks like The Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, and Sixteen Candles.
The Iconic Characters: Andie and Duckie
Starring Molly Ringwald, Andrew McCarthy, and Jon Cryer, the movie centers on Ringwald's character, Andie, who is kind of the opposite of the character she played in The Breakfast Club, but a bit more like Sixteen Candles.
While Ringwald and McCarthy were great in Pretty in Pink, the scene stealer was Cryer's Duckie Dale, a character who has endured for years and remains a favorite among the flick's original fans.
