You know I love a great meal. If you've been following any of my videos or stories over the years, you know I have attempted a few different eating challenges, too.

My Food Challenge Journey

I tried to take down a massive pizza in Rockford and failed miserably, but on another attempt, I successfully completed a burger challenge at a pub in Chicago. Both were fun, and while I enjoyed the meal, I am not so sure I could do either again.

New Challenges at Don Carter Lanes

I am unsure when Don Carter Lanes added these two "Monster Eating Challenges" to the menu, but the amateur food challenger in me was awoken when I saw the descriptions:

    • The Gut Buster: Tackle a 3 lb burger stacked high with all the fixings and served with a mountain of fries. Finish in 1 hour and get your name in the Gut Buster Hall of Fame.
    • The Big Porker: 20 oz of tender pork tenderloin, topped with American cheese, creamy sausage gravy, raw onions, and pickle chips, all served with a heaping side of fries. Finish it in 30 minutes and clean your plate to be added to the Big Porker Hall of Fame.

Rewards for Completing the Challenge

Besides getting inducted into the hall of fame at Don Carter Lanes, each prize comes with a trophy, a tee, and a coupon for free bowling. The best part for me is that the meal is free if you complete the challenge.

A Return to Food Challenges?

I thought I was done with food challenges after that pizza debacle years ago, but I might have to try this out.
