I have never really cared for April Fools' Day. It's not that I don't get a kick out of a well executed prank, but a good prank is hard to come up with. Cruel or destructive pranks are not my thing, but a simple text can be a lot of fun. <Insert evil laugh here>

First victim I chose; my gullible Mother. Let me preface this by saying my parents love the Backyard Bar and Grill. If you are at the Cherry Valley location on a Friday night, and do not see my parents, it means one of them is sick. They go there every weekend. Therefore, I sent a text that would hit her straight in the heart. At first, she had me sweating, but I refused to admit defeat!

Here is where it got good.

Success, and now I am feeling over confident. For the record I must state again, the Backyard Bar and Grill is NOT being sold, and it is NOT closing. Thank goodness!

Second victim, my husband. I knew this one would be a challenge. He knows me so well, and never falls for anything. It took some thought, but eventually I remembered he asked me to buy him tickets to see Jason Aldean at Tinley Park this July for his birthday. So, this text seemed like a no-brainer.

Darnit! I guess 1 and 0 for the day isn't bad. At least I was successful half of the time.

Happy April Fools' Day, ya'll!
