Good news stateline! Amazon is getting ready to build a new facility in Joliet. That will bring more jobs to Illinois.

WIFR News reports that the Seattle-based online retailing giant Amazon has announced plans for a warehouse in Joliet that will create 1,000 full-time jobs when it opens.

The company plans a nearly 500,000-square-foot fulfillment center where workers will process items such as books and electronics.

As for job requirements, the company's website states:"Amazon's employment website says its warehouse workers must have a high school diploma or the equivalent, and must be able to lift up to 49 pounds." To learn more about Amazon and their employment process, click here.

Now that is really good news, among all the bad stuff we've heard about businesses moving out of Illinois, it's good to know their other company's that have faith in this state and are setting up shop here.
