Morgan Wallen Experience Coming to Rockford for Full Day of Music

Rockford live music fans will have a chance to experience a full day of live music Saturday, August 29, when Benny's Bourbon Tequila Slots hosts Whiskey Friends, a Morgan Wallen Experience.

A Full Day of Live Music

The event takes place at Benny's on Harrison Avenue, which is connected to Kegel's Harley-Davidson, across from Cherryvale Mall, with the bar opening at 10 a.m. on Saturday (8/29).

Live music begins at 3 p.m. with Jordyn Jenkins, followed by Dirt Road Rebelz at 5 p.m. The night's headliner, Whiskey Friends, takes the stage at 7 p.m., bringing a tribute performance celebrating the music of Morgan Wallen.

Benny's owner Rory told the Q Morning Crew the event was something that essentially landed in his lap. "We usually do a number of events, and this one got dropped in our laps, and we're like, all right, let's do it."

Tickets Are Available at the Door

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the door, although Rory emphasized that door sales are cash only. Tickets are also available through Eventbrite by searching for the Whiskey Friends event at Benny's Bourbon Tequila Shots.

Food will be available throughout the day, and there are a limited number of VIP tables that still may be available, but were close to selling out.

A Little Rockford Sturgis

Motorcycle enthusiasts are also encouraged to ride in, with plenty of parking available around Benny's and Kegel Harley-Davidson.

The event is a bit of Rockford's own 'little small Sturgis' for those who didn't make the trip to South Dakota.

With live music starting at 3 p.m., food available all day, and Whiskey Friends taking the stage at 7, organizers are expecting Saturday to be a full day of country music, motorcycles, and entertainment.
