Remember when it felt like it would never stop raining this past June? Well, Mother Nature is about to flip the switch for weather conditions this August. Great.

I don't know about your neighborhood, but mine has been surrounded by the ambiance of whirling sprinklers for the last week or so. We went on a walk yesterday, and it was amazing to me just how brown the yards have gotten in the last two weeks. Ready for the good news? It's likely to get a whole lot drier in the upcoming weeks according to Eyewitness News Chief Meteorologist Candice King, (so yeah, I was lying about that good news part).

Our grass may be turning brown and our yards are hard as a rock, but that is nothing compared to the multitude of headaches our local farmers are dealing with this year. First an abundance of rain that led to flooding and late planting, now a drought? Come on, Mother Nature...ease up a little!!!
