Your Summer Road Trips Are Going To Be Very Expensive This Year
We're going to feel the burn of rising gas prices this summer as the cost of crude oil is rising to it's highest level in years.
December 2014, that's the last time gas prices were as high as they're going to get soon. The cause is that crude oil prices are rising. The U.S. daily average for a gallon of gas is $2.81, that's up from $2.39 just a year ago. Just over ten percent of gas stations around the country are already charging $3 or more, according nbc5chicago.com.
Crude oil prices have been on the rise for nearly a year and are currently at just over $68 a gallon. Thats the highest since December 2014.
