Even though it has been many years since I was in school, I still enjoy finding out information. In fact, I like to learn something new every day. It does not happen all the time but when it does, I get excited. Well, unless I forget something I already knew. There are moments when I find out a new fact and it kind of freaks me out because I wonder why I never knew it before.

The latest fact I learned is actually really interesting. I can not believe I never knew about it before. After thinking about the information, it totally makes sense. I can now officially add another activity that people from Wisconsin enjoy. The list includes beer, cheese, and the Packers. Now, I will consider snowmobiling part of their hobbies.

I know people in Wisconsin love to go snowmobiling. In fact, many people from Illinois travel up north each weekend during the winter to hit the trails. Honestly, I had no idea that our neighboring state was the birthplace of the snowmobile.

Sayner, Wisconsin Is The Birthplace Of The Snowmobile

According to roadsideamerica.com,

"Sayner is home to a Snowmobile Museum. Along with exhibits of snowmobilia, the Vilas County Historical Society Museum in Sayner displays the original hand-built snowmobile (called a motor toboggan in the early days) completed in 1924 by Carl Eliason. Sayner is "Birthplace of the Snowmobile."
