Wisconsin Police Bust Serial Park Pooper Using High-Tech Surveillance
Never did I ever think I would write a story about a Wisconsin woman getting arrested for being a serial public defecator, but here I go.
Illinois vs. Wisconsin
As a lifelong Illinois resident, I'm probably supposed to have a love/hate relationship with Wisconsin, but my Wisconsin feelings lie far more on the love side. My family has a cabin up north, so I have spent many hours boating Wisconsin waters and drinking Wisconsin beer...it's definitely one of my happy places.
I've experienced and witnessed a lot of interesting things in Wisconsin over the years, but thankfully, never anything close to what the Stoughton Police Department recently caught on drone footage.
Wisconsin's Serial Pooper
According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, police in Stoughton, Wisconsin arrested a 46-year-old woman on February 5, 2026 for being a "serial defecator".
Yes, you read that right. This woman poops in public...often.
(OMG!)
Stoughton Police began an investigation after receiving several reports from people finding human poo and used toilet paper in a city park, and then they used trail cameras to establish a bizarre pooing pattern and identify a suspect.
On February 5, they unleashed a drone with the hopes of finding the suspect in action...and they did.
Honestly, after reading that post I assumed the woman had to be homeless, and many Wisconsin residents shared the same concern, but that is not the case.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports the Stoughton Police did confirm that the woman is not homeless and that she was cited for indecent conduct.
Hopefully this woman gets the help, and perhaps the plumber, that she definitely needs.
