Winnebago County Is Giving Away Free Trees But Not To Everyone

You can get a free tree courtesy of the Winnebago County Clerk and Winnebago County Soil and Water Conservation District but there's a catch.

These free trees aren't available to everyone, in fact, they are only available to "anyone that purchases a birth certificate, death certificate or applies for a marriage license."

If this is you bare-root or shrub seedlings are waiting for you on Earth Day (Monday, April 22) starting at 8 a.m., at the Winnebago County Clerk’s office.
