Volunteers Needed to Help Clean Up the Rock River

If you enjoy spending your time on the Rock River, this weekend you can volunteer to help clean it up and in return you'll receive a free hovercraft ride.

WREX reports that this weekend the organization Rock River Sweep is looking for volunteers to come help clean up the river.

If you are free this Saturday you are welcome to go down to Blackhawk Park between 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.. Plus, when you clean up a bag's worth of trash you can hop on the hovercraft for free.

It's a way to motivate community members in taking pride in our river and keeping the area clean. Plus, you'll be rewarded for our hard work with something fun, a hovercraft ride.
