Looking for something fun to do while experiencing another culture and not have to leave Rockford to do it?

Check out Greek Fest this weekend.

This Friday through Sunday is the annual Greek Fest happening in downtown Rockford at the Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church on North Fifth Street.

For three days the downtown will be filled with everything Greek from music to the tantalizing aromas of Greek delicacies and it's absolutely free to attend.

There will be music, dancing (both modern and traditional Greek), food, Greek and domestic beers and wines, baked goods, desserts, religious and other Greek themed items for sale, a raffle drawing, and tours of the church.

Plus, there are activities for kids too. Including bounce house and inflatable climbing/slide station for the children.

Mmm... yum. I can smell the Baklava and Gyros now.
