
Two of Top 50 Snowiest U.S. Cities are in Illinois, 7 are in Wisconsin
On the heels of last week's big snow, one might think we on our way to another snowy winter here in the Stateline.
That may or may not be the case, but with an official reading of 8.8" by the National Weather Service, we already received 25% of our annual snow total. Could we beat the annual average here in the Stateline?
The Niche website crunched the numbers and ranked the 50 Snowiest Cities in the United States. Two are in Illinois and six are in Wisconsin.

The city of Syracuse, NY topped the snowfall list with an average snowfall at 110.0 inches. It should be also noted that list only includes towns and cities with a population that exceed 50,000
Rockford also came in as one of the Top 50 Coldest Places in the U.S., ranking 30th with an average low temperature of 19.2 during the winter months.
