Many of my mommy friends were sharing this ad on social media yesterday, so of course I had to watch it. Don't make the same mistake I did. Grab a tissue or two before proceeding. You have been warned.

I must admit that I think the reason this ad hit me so hard is because my daughter, Ella, said "mommy" for the first time a few days ago. Not "mama." Not "ma, ma, ma," but a crystal clear "mommy." It was the sweetest thing I have ever heard, and I automatically teared up. Ella looked at me like I was crazy, and then gave me a hug.

At first I thought , "Lord, I have gone soft. What's wrong with me?" Then I realized something. As mothers we always question if we are doing things "right." We worry, we doubt ourselves. Then your child utters one word that makes everything all right. It's amazing how one little word can mean so much. The mother/child connection always seems to amaze me, and that is what this new Pandora Jewelry ad is all about.

Dang it! I'm all teary eyed again!

Better keep it tuned to Q98.5, because we are working on a "wine-derful" way to celebrate Mom this Mother's Day. Details are coming soon, and you won't want to miss it!
