The changes to the site at the University of Illinois Health Sciences Campus are due to the closing of the Rockton Avenue site. Here's what you need to know.

The Crusader Community Health-run covid testing site on Rockton Avenue just announced that they are shutting down. This move will allow them to return to focusing on healthcare.

As someone who has had to be tested on several occasions, I wondered where I would have to go the next time I need the nasopharyngeal test. This is the very long swab, way up your nose test. This test is recommended for those who are asymptomatic, people who don't show any symptoms. We now know the answer to that question.

As a result of the Rockton Ave. site closure, testing will be expanding at UIC.

Starting on Friday, December 11, the University of Illinois Health Sciences Campus at 160 Parkview Ave. will be offering additional covid testing services. The site is open 7 days a week from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.. No appointment is required, it's drive-thru and it is totally free.
