Top 25 Highest Paid Average Teacher Salaries in Rockford Area

Of the Top 25, only 8 Rockford area school districts pay their teachers more than the Illinois average teacher salary.

Recently, we reported on school districts that paid their teacher the lowest average salaries in the Stateline area. After we published the information, many of you inquired as to which school districts pay their teachers the most.

In a report published by Reboot Illinois, they calculated the average teacher salary for every Illinois school district. From those numbers, we pulled school districts from the Rockford area (excluding the Chicago suburbs). Here are the top average teacher salaries for full-time teachers for school districts in the Stateline.

Hononegah teachers receive the highest pay, averaging a salary of $70,989. The Illinois average is $63,450.00. The irony is that the Hononegah School District is right next door to the school district that pays their teachers the least: Shirland District 134 whose teachers average $39,356.
