What do you get when you take the month of September add the city of Chicago and mix in food with a museum?

The Answer: The city's first ever "Foodseum" (a food museum) that's to open next month.

No I'm not kidding. This is for real.

DNAInfo.comreports that the "Loop" area of downtown Chicago will be opening a "Foodseum" on September 19th. The food museum, Foodseum, will have exhibits that guests can see, smell, touch and taste.

The three-month pop-up museum, located on block 37 at the Downtown mall - 108 N. State St. Chicago, will debut Saturday, Sept. 19th, with it's "first exhibit entitled 'The Hot Dog and Encased Meat of the World.'

Kyle Joseph, the Foodseum's executive director said "Food is such an important part of each of our lives... Foodseum will provide visitors a fun and interactive window into what's behind it all."

The Foodseum will be open to the public September 19th - December 20th from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday through Sunday.

Hmmm that's kind of interesting. I'd like to see this museum. Would you?
