Texas Roadhouse is the latest national chain to step up for its employees during the COVID-19 pandemic. The CEO of Texas Roadhouse says his salary and bonus structure, for the next 10 months, will instead be used to pay employees. How awesome is that?

Chief Executive W. Kent Taylor has agreed to forgo his base salary and bonus from the pay period starting March 18 through Jan. 7, 2021, with the money to be used to pay front-line workers. (MarketWatch)

Texas Roadhouse also announced the will be offering drive-up/curbside options, according to Kent Taylor. The restaurant is also selling ready-to-grill meat directly to customers.

In the areas where our dining rooms are temporarily closed, we are committed to serving our communities across America with ramped-up To-Go, Family Value Packs, and curbside service.

Texas Roadhouse Illinois locations remain opened without inside dining as an option.
