Tax Day 2018 Freebies and Deals in Rockford

Tax Day is usually April 15, but since the 15th is on a Sunday this year, procrastinators have until Tuesday, April 17 to fulfill their obligation to the federal government.

Some may dread Tax Day, some can't wait for it, and some (like me) have already spent their entire refund on super non-fun and adult stuff. Either way, we all want to save money, or even better yet, get some free stuff in honor of Tax Day, right? Right.

Parade.com has a list of 18 Freebies and Deals for Tax Day 2018, but here are the ones that will be good for all us Rockfordians:

• Chuck E. Cheese's - Between April 17 and 19, buy any large pizza, get a large cheese pizza free.
• Hardee's - Get a free sausage biscuit from 7 to 10 a.m. on April 17th by using the phrase "made from scratch" when you order. (Don't forget to say that "secret" phrase!)
• Hooters - Between April 14 and 17, kids 12 and under get a free kids meal when adults spend $10 or more on a meal.
• Potbelly Sandwich Shop - There are two ways to get a free sandwich on Tax Day; either sign up for Potbelly Perks, or if you're already enrolled in Potbelly Perks,  check the app for a special Tax Day BOGO deal.
